Our pupils had an amazing time on Tuesday, re-enacting Shakespeare’s renowned comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Throughout the day groups furiously learnt their lines and practised their most theatrical moves under the direction of two professional actors from ‘West End in Schools’ theatre company.

Later, pupils from Reception to Year 6 came together to perform the play for each other, to the rapturous applause of the staff.

There were stars in every class. Watching our pupils acting out their scenes, using Shakespearean language was such a treat. Whoever said Shakespeare isn’t accessible for primary school children?!
